From September 26 to 27, the Zhongman Cup Fencing Open was held at Capital International Exhibition and Convention Center (CIECC). As a Category C mass fencing event certified by the Chinese Fencing Association, the competition serves as a practical platform for fencing enthusiasts nationwide to test their training outcomes, earn official competition points and quality for higher level events. Nearly one thousand competitors from across the country gathered here to compete.

The competition includes individual and team contests, covering multiple age groups including U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, 17+ and open group. Men’s and women’s foil, epee and sabre events are all available.

Athletes of different ages, weapon types and divisions competed with full commitment, showcasing the inclusive charm of fencing that transcends age and balances personal growth and team honour.

Held during the Mid Autumn Festival holiday, the competition boosted consumption momentum for the holiday. Catering, accommodation, transport, tourism and retail sectors saw rising business activity. It effectively converts event foot traffic into growth for cultural and tourism consumption. Moving forward, CIECC will keep refining event operation experience, introduce more high level sports competitions, continuously improve the venue’s diversified operation capacity and support the development of Beijing as an international consumption center city.
